Dee graduated from Goldsmiths College University of London in 1997 where he studied Film and Photography. Here he made his first short film Woman In Mind before his graduation piece Show Us Yours was nominated for the Fuji Student Film Awards of that year. Weeks after leaving Goldsmiths he joined one of the major post production houses in London’s Soho. In his role as a post production producer he worked with some of the leading names in television production including the BBC, Wall To Wall Television, Discovery Channel and Channel 4. After establishing a reputable client base Dee left the world of post production in 2005 to become a freelance Director. He does however describe writing as his ‘soul’s passion’. “I try and ensure I start a new project every three months or so. Writing is like anything else, you only get better at it if you keep doing it. Even if it takes a bit of time to get the funds together for a particular project I don’t just sit around, I crack on with the next idea as soon as.” As well as developing his slate of feature scripts Dee is currently working with Channel 4 and their sister company 4Creative as a on air promos director. Chris Rayner – Producer Chris has a wealth of experience in post production and currently has a client base that produces some of the most cutting edge documentary programming in the UK. Landmark Films, 7th Art Productions, Century Films and Blast Films are just some of the names he has worked with in recent years. After working with such distinguished names within the world of television, his ability to apply his talent to a range of projects saw him make the transition from post production producer to short film producer with relative ease. Where Dee and Troy provide the team with its creative verve and vision Chris is the axis on which their high production values revolve. He is currently working on a range of projects specifically aimed at developing the use of Hi Definition digital technology.
Troy Titus-Adams – Producer Troy’s talents not only rest with producing, she is also an actress with film, television and stage credits to her name. No stranger to the small screen she is well known for her role as Nina Harris on the BBC’s BAFTA award winning soap opera EastEnders, as well as a stint in Channel 5’s popular soap Family Affairs. Since then she has successfully managed to combine her acting career and production duties with equal enthusiasm. For her Heavy Soul represents the vehicle in which she can achieve her ambition to bring new and exciting projects to the screen. Before her break in EastEnders, Troy spent a number of years in Los Angeles where she developed relationships with some of the most respected names in film and television during her time with a casting agency. However the pull to return to England proved difficult to resist and once back in London she set about developing a similar data base of industry contacts that would provide her with the capabilities of realising her vision. She has recently finished starring in a short film entitled Home Sweet Home written & directed by Sharon Foster, a project in which she was also an Associate Producer. She is currently working with new writers developing new projects for Heavy Soul |
