July 2006:   VINCENT wraps!!

Shooting has finished on Vincent and the project has now gone into post production.  The film stars Nina Wadia (Goodness Gracious Me), Trevor White (The Line of Beauty) and  Eric Chimier.


June 2006: VINCENT goes into production

Filming has started on Vincent, the new Heavy Soul/Oh My! co-production.  Shooting will take place at locations in and around the London area.  The project has been independently funded by both production companies.


April 2006: VINCENT

Heavy Soul have teamed up with Oh My! Productions on a new project titled Vincent. This supernatural short was written by Raiomond Mirza who is also executive producer on the project.  Dee Allen will Produce and Direct, shooting is due to begin in late June.


August 2005:   Catalogued by British Council

Teenage Hero and Target are simultaneously catalogued by the British Council. Teenage Hero will continue its Film Festival circuit under the British Council banner.


26 July  2005

Teenage Hero was again screened at the B3 Media screening at the Ritzy Cinema, Brixton followed by the  Film Makers Q&A.


20 June 2005:   INTERVIEW with MICHAEL MORGAN

Dee Allen & Jason York (Andre from Teenage Hero) are  interviewed by  Michael Morgan of  Ben TV Networks. Discussing Heavy Soul's aspirations and the success of Dee’s latest short, Teenage Hero.


7 June 2005:   Channel 4 Screening Theatre

Teenage Hero enjoys its second  screening @  Channel 4 screening theatre.   Screened with Target and Blessed Burden


1 June 2005

Teenage Hero will be screened at the B3 Media Blank Slate screening at the Curzon Cinema, Soho.   Dee Allen will take part in the  Film Makers Q&A that follows .


March 2005:   TARGET supports BULLET BOY

Target will be supporting the  feature Bullet Boy  (Dir: Saul Dibb) at its screening at the Odeon Cinema Haymarket.  


Feb 2005:   Teenage Hero Grows Up!

Teenage Hero is  chosen by Distributor Short Circuit Films to be catalogued and distributed under their name. It will now commence its film festival circuit and screenings over the next year.


October 2004:   TEENAGE HERO

Teenage Hero was filmed on location in North London, using many of the kids from this local housing estate.  It was a truly moving experience and fun for the residents, cast and crew.   See  Projects for more info on this film and shoot.


September 2004:   TEENAGE HERO

Heavy Soul has been awarded production funding from the B3 Media Blank Slate Scheme, part of the UK Film Council's digital shorts programme.    Their film Teenage Hero will go into pre-production immediately. 


June 2004:   TARGET @ HBFF 2004

Target is nominated for the Best International Short Movie at the Hollywood Black Film Makers Festival 2004.  

Target (2002)  was funded by  the Film Council and having had its debut screening at BAFTA went on to achieve huge international success.
